Big plans means big loss

Living in the past or the future is suffering the loss of the now. Eternalism says that every moment is constant and presentism says that every moment is all there ever is while the before and the after are in our mind alone. To be totally present means to let go of the future and the past which is actualize the now and the future. An old saying goes,”let go of expectation and receive everything” which stands to reason with being in the moment. The more one wants from the future the less the moment can give, and the more is missed by the focus. Its like being in love with someone and wanting them to be a certain thing while they are giving all they know. Their heart throbs, their gifts sparkle but if you’re staring at your prize all those gifts will be gone to waste. Let go of big plans and open eye to the nuances of everyday and every moment as a gift. Remember that somewhere there is a girl who has been raped, left for dead, and beaten to paralysis. There are thousands of these people and that is their whole goddamn life. Let their pain sink in not to feel spoiled but to feel what is great and given to you. Live the life gifted in front of your eyes because it is your’s and to ignore otherwise is to both mock those lesser as well as yourself. In every moment is a piece of magic, open your eyes.
