The wait until you’re desperate mindset pervades more than a wallet. It is a kind of excitement that goes along with being late, always fucking being late. You don’t have to do it until it’s just about broken. And that feels sort of badass. You made it! But you’re a jackass and didn’t need to work so hard or get so stressed. It’s very similar to beating yourself over the head for an hour with a 2 by 4. It feels great when you stop but like… you could have had sex or baked a cake or read a book instead. I will separate both this kinds of learned stressful addict thinking into a large diagnoses then move to explain a cure, an alternative both in action and mentality for their symptoms. Then Im going to say,”If you don’t fucking do it, it won’t fucking happen”. Because things aren’t bigger than you when you cause them to repeat. That’s lazy, cowardice escapism and it should bring a person shame.
The poor mindset is very simply one that sees money as fleeting and gets stuck in only buying things when they are desperate for things. The idea of having money in the bank is unthinkable, extra cash must be spent! On stupid shit! And then when problems come along, we are screwed yet again. It is the notion of having to break bank in order to pay for things that keeps a person to spending their every last penny instead of sitting on money. You don’t have to spend it, it is better to save. You can also then buy things cheaper and in bulk when they are on sale or when you want them. Playing slave to the “extra cash” fiend keeps one in a cycle of poverty. Poorer people develop tastes for shitty things… and they start to expect them; clothes, food, products and it expands to their own work. When we surround ourselves in shitty things then we produce what is likewise. That may be the shittiest part of the poor mindset, how pervasive it is in one’s life. Then there is hating and resenting the rich… that is just stupid because it takes so much energy for fallacy. It also keeps one from allowing themselves to buy nice things for themselves because they have invested so much resentment to the rich… but the rich aren’t bad because they have money. SOME rich are bad because they’re greedy. Being prejudice against people is worse and even more detrimental because it continues a mindset of holding one’s self back so you don’t become rich… and that’s pretty damn dumb. These are all common habit poor mindsets are raised and ingrained with.
Helping others is more important than helping yourself… is a good way to destroy the world and ignore your problems. If a person wants for help, they will ask. But the propensity to look for those with problems is a poorer man’s way of escaping his own issues. It is human to project our helping schemes on others because we have seen ourselves worthless and saving another will perhaps bring happiness which we deny ourselves as a rule. One of the values to fix in wealth is to value one’s self. We must value becoming smarter before we value educating others. We must value our own wealth before we try to give to others… each circumstance makes us broke and the world have a tiny bit less. Because we are ourselves now broke and the lesser person has not learned to help themselves. When one looks to better others so constantly it is sad because they clearly are not busy enough with their own life to help themselves… and they’re parading a flag of a broken world. People need to help themselves, any other saving grace is only ever a momentary fix. Putting the responsibility of saving one’s self on somebody else when you cannot is very very selfish even though a person frames it as self-less and helpful. It is desperate and selfish. Its turning to someone else to smile because you are too afraid to try, and thats pushing your problems on others while smiling; shameful.
The addicted-to-stress mentality is bred from being poor in that one does not act when right, but only when extremely stressed. It seems exciting and brave to the user but absolutely stupid to everyone else watching. Sure, it was amazing they pulled off that last minute dash… but they had three weeks. And last tuesday would have won them a trip to Budapest. Doing things the best is better than doing things at the last minute. Make no mistake, it is an addiction. And its holding one back just as much as a cocaine addiction would. Try and view it that way, because it is a very similar high and that hard to quit; especially if one’s family has the same problems.
The simplest way to best all of these issues is to not battle them but do the opposite of them. Design out a winner, the winner being you, and then stick to the strategy. Continue learning and updating the strategy then stick to it! Habits win when they return and the lapse in changing those habits is the same as letting, calling, and upholding a poverty mindset better than one of wealth. Remember two things about wealth though: abundance is the natural state of things and wealth is NOT IN DOLLARS. Wealth is in knowledge, experience, friends, talents, the harder a thing is to measure and weight that carries the same happiness the more valuable it is. Playing a guitar is a million times more valuable than a mansion. It can be used anywhere in the world to make people happy, it is an open form of expression, it continues to connect you to people and new ideas. Abundance is the way of the world. Dollars are a made up practice of society to keep things in order, albeit important, it is not natural. The resources on this planet are natural. The brilliant ideas of this world are natural and free. And they are always so many and so free.
