“I want you to get mad, go to your window and open it then yell,”Im mad as hell, and Im not going to take it anymore!” is the famous line from the movie network where a news anchor makes a giant shift in societal action and media fourth wall. Anger is a powerful emotion and has gained a poor reputation the same way many things in America do, by idiots doing them wrong and spoiling them for the rest of us. Being mad in a proper manner is when one is being mistreated or the world is going wrong and you reject that shit. Condoning getting fucked over is indifference a slits open your inner-child’s wrists. But letting yourself be mad and screaming this isn’t right is extremely healthy.
So run through tragedies in your life, check your memory and log when you’ve been wronged because you need to get fucking angry. When you let that be, you laid down your sword thus your power was lost. This is something of volition control, a wasting of will for complacency and way too goddamn often because we’re tired. Now is the perfect time to shift this. Let yourself feel powerful, get mad when you were wronged, declare it crap! Scream out obscenities and allow yourself to feel! This create a passion by reviving a sense of self who fought and was not OK going quietly. You deserve to be happy and you deserve what you want and you get to stop people wronging you. Sometimes shit happens and that will suck but you get to be mad over it. Ruminating and generalizing how bad the world is creates a sense of failure procuring a future of shit-kickery and mediocrity. Do not do that, let yourself be mad. Don’t stay mad though.
Use this passion to be more, let that self who has the worth to yell be your center. Because that is a hero who will change the story. And everyone has that person inside. Keep your fire lit. Allowing your story to be one that runs as you losing and not caring about being robbed will only prime more loss then ignore all the great adventures and joys you are destined for. You story will play out that way until you shift the way you perceive those events, and this is a glorious way to make yourself.
