Our hands are made of what keep them doing. Scared and dirty, crusted and bloody, calloused and skilled, it all happens by our own action. The world is never out to get someone nor will that notion succeed without our hands in the work of it. Many great people fall into ruts and its not necessary. Leaving a trail of fire sounds badass and strong but anger will not heal nor help a soul, just scare others away and keep the user scabbed away from feeling happiness; the pain seeps in and keeps things solidified. How do we stop ourselves from falling into bad shit like this or ending it? Gotta catch yourself, call yourself on your own bullshit and be honest that you deserve to be happy; and when you are not.
The very opposite characteristic of consciousness is fear. Being unaware is run with worry, doubt, second-guesses and cut short thoughts. This is how people are controlled, led astray, tricked into making terrible decisions whether it be a need for horrible things they don’t need or want or letting some people go get burned in camps without s’mores. Watching one’s self talk, poise, tone, normal facial expression can show fear and dislike of where one is at. We must be able to accept this could happen otherwise when it does we won’t be looking. Do not run from it, understand and redesign your actions when you see this.
Too easily does one who makes lists and characters fall far from letting themselves be real. Writing up, outlining a perfect day and perfect self is very rejuvenating but from paper to footsteps the pencil falls short for the jump. Do not be overly strategic, swept away in plans without watching the winds at hand. You are a real person and shit happens. You are a real person and you get to be happy.
Probably the easiest way to correct a falter like we speak of is to watch your inner monologue and normal conversation. Diagnose them and remember they are not you, they are words you are CURRENTLY using. Be aware of your tone. Look at yourself in a mirror and take note of your posture and normal facial expression; those you can change immediately and, despite how frivolous this sounds, it makes your chemicals work differently. Keep note of the way you sound when you speak as well as how you present your words and self. All of this can be changed but remember, it must be natural not over designed. Do what feels right, not a self-loathing that keeps you from being you.
Being emotionally reactionary is allowing outside forces more control of you than if you were actionary. Decide upon what you find worthwhile in a day and if the reaction you are about to have is something you would have decided upon if it hadn’t fallen upon you. YOu get to say no and chose what you look at, think about, who you talk to. Create things you want to be. Have ideas in your head that you like when all the one’s around you aren’t getting you anywhere you want to be. Invent expressions to have, things to chase, go for what you want. Use your imagination, its a brilliant tool here.
We lie to ourselves about being okay when we don’t check on ourselves. Then the rushing begins and so quickly does the water fall. Materialism and escapism are best books about our lives and the dialogue’s dry and petty. Watch the speed of life you’re making yourself live. Watch if you are trying to get out, to run, to move, instead of find depth or enjoy what you are doing. There could be something better out there but if you won’t spend any time enjoying what is in front of you then you will always just be running. Eat your cake and enjoy it, look for the reasons to then look for whats worth of it. Value whats in front of you.
Having a lack of self image is a very common theme with people who are afraid. They may not believe that they’re worth while enough to be happy. Convictions exist to say they won’t make anything worth while. So why even try? Humans have this cognitive bias of seeing patterns where they don’t exist. It came as helpful back when we needed to remember where the good banana’s grew and where the lions hung out. Our lives don’t have so much a lion problem and the patterns don’t exist. You can think of, say, imagine, create great things. Its never impossible unless you don’t try. Create an image of a person outside of the self you hate and lack respect for. Make it a wizard, it doesn’t fucking matter! But make them a person you want to be and chase that. Allow yourself to see yourself as that.
Please don’t bullshit yourself. It is the main way one gets in a shitty rut. If you don’t like doing something then fucking change it. Don’t whine randomly and meaninglessly but act. Do things you want to do and watch the world you run in. Bite what you want to chew, not wastes of your life.
