A person acting under perceived duress is not a person acting as themselves that being in their best interest or highest self. It is always possible to change a person’s behavior by treating them like that most noble them. Folks raise their behavior as they want to stand to the highest ground available. Often just giving a person that chance and cue to stand higher will pull them out of that perceived bullshit they’ve slumped in.

When you address a person, you are automatically feeding part of them. A conversation is the grounds for an emotion and ideas to build upon. If you address the anger angle then that is the part of a person you’re feeding. To address that anger is present and unworthy takes tact and strategy or one will face battle, resentment, and rejection. To address the better parts of a person and then construct a conversation where the parts you enjoy and the pieces of them they value are attended to. Point those out if you cannot draw them out subtly as they are so not on the surface but so strong of a person that they will bounce up and take better control of the situation than of the bullshit running the show. Giving the grounds where they have developed or based their higher qualities is a perfectly realistic segue even though it may seem off topic. This is because nobody fucking wants to be angry and sad, they’re panicked and this is the reaction.

People express themselves via conversations that is to say everyone has thousands of faces and varying values but are only ever a few of them. Creating the grounds for a person to express or grow their best qualities is a move to grow the world in that if every conversation in this world expanded intellect, connectivity, consciousness, and happiness then it would be a better world. Allowing people to do this means being open for it, seeking it from yourself first so you can show you would accept it, asking the questions and bringing up the topics of a great world while keeping them relative that it’s not manipulative but naturally inclusive, encouraging people so they feel that whole process values them thus inspiring them to continue the obvious trend, and above all keeping an upbeat and intellectually critical tone to continue the direction with credibility and sustainability.
