Release Negative Thinking – Jack Up Your Life
[Long Beach, CA—August 9, 2013] It is widely understood that distressing experiences and self-doubt can imprison us psychologically. Without understanding how we can become stuck in unhealthy behavioral patterns and the degree to which negative thinking infects our attitudes and the way we live, we experience difficulty moving forward.
Award-winning communication professor Jack Mierop is a leading facilitator of workshops, seminars and courses in personal growth development with almost two decades of experience. His personal growth narrative, Becoming . . . assists readers in shifting their thought processes toward seeking answers and creating a positive self-image. Through humorous stories, lessons and personal experiences, Mierop maps out suggestions to change self-perception, ultimately helping readers find more happiness, self-confidence and inner peace.
Jack, along with special guest cover artist Sarah Ferrieri, invite you to attend a book signing at Babe’s Kitchen, 1106 E. Wardlow Road, Long Beach, CA 90807 this Friday, August 9 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Habits of the Unconscious Mind
The human brain is capable of processing millions of pieces of information every second, a vast majority of which are unconscious. Just as personal habits of behavior become part of our daily routines, where we don’t have conscious control of that behavior, habits of thought also become influencing factors of our everyday attitudes about just about everything. The unconscious nature of those thoughts leaves us on “automatic pilot,” unaware of their origins or the effects they have on our lives. In “Habits . . .” Jack discusses how to expose these habits of thought and allow us to choose which of them to keep and which of them to shed.
You are cordially invited to join Jack in Fruita, Colorado for a discussion about the unconscious habits of thought that guide our daily lives and attitudes entitled, Habits of the Unconscious Mind.
Hope to see you there!

MORE ABOUT #RE-THINK SUNDAY – Seek Your Truth
Challenge yourself, flex your brainpower, consider the thoughts of others and meet other deep thinkers who are drawn to open mindedness and critical thinking.
#Re-think Sunday is monthly “Church for thinkers” by the New Freethinkers of Orange County that attracts people from all walks of life and all belief systems. But we all have one thing in common: we agree the world works better when you consider the ideas, knowledge, experiences and views of others.
#Re-think Sunday is a time for exploration, self- enlightenment and thought sharing. Yes, it may be a time to challenge your own thinking or beliefs. The motto for our group is: “Seek Your Truth.” The meeting does not have an ideological point of view. Your truth is your truth. We simply share the view that an open mind and careful consideration of other viewpoints can ultimately lead us as people and citizens to make better decisions and to work together toward positive local, national and world solutions.
At #Re-think Sunday we engage in activities designed to encourage:
• Constant Curiosity
• Ruthless Introspection
• Deliberate Application of Critical Thinking
• Extreme Empathy
• Meaningful Relationships
• Altruistic Action and Gratefulness
• “World Citizenship” – the mission of New Freethinking
We hope you’ll join us for a “workout of the mind” and an opportunity to Seek Your Truth.
It’s a brainer!
Join us for an hour of untold perspectives on life!
See you there!
Note: The Pub is on the lower level of the Titan Student Union.
Yes, friends, I’m another year older, but fortunately not deeper in debt, and I would love for you to join me for my birthday celebration at the Bash.
The party starts at 4:00 but carries on until later in the evening. Tacos and the magician entertain from 5:30 until 8:30 and then there’s cake! Guided tours of the house start after dark for the full lighting effects and then later there’ll be marshmellow roasting and smores over the fire pit.
Please bring what you’d like to drink (NO ALCOHOL PLEASE!); water will be provided, and a dish to share if you feel so inclined.
Yes, you may bring a guest and children are welcome (they particularly like the model railroad!).
Hope you can join us!
