Analysis paralysis is the condition to which one thinks too much and forgets or avoids doing anything. Where rushing into action is a bad idea for its lack for foresight and consequence or goal awareness, overanalyzing things is not a cure rather the mistake on the other side of the decisions’ spectrum. Seeking success is a sense of righteous motivation that cannot thrive a person forward without their belief in the concept. Both extremes of said spectrum show lacking in confidence to fruitions and in that lack creates a fleecing of worry and joy. And that’s usually the sickness in question. It becomes a value to which a character acts with a narrative validity to upholding. The thought, “Im gunna fuck this up” comes from seeing an event perceivably fit to that accoutrement and requires an emotional state willing to produce such a frame. Believing that thought then generating pattern expectancy is where one finds themselves in the land of fear and self-enforced restriction. Defenses to this disease range from over-sensitive excuses on the depth of understanding required to begin action to clear-cut illogical lack of conducive formatted planning skills or the disbelief in those or their existences validity… or the always great and often unaddressed faith in mythological failure magic. The last one’s cure is literally the cure to all three and any other defense. Judging the future by negative events of the past incurs an emotional and thus unrealistic perception. Measuring does not take place but guesstimating and presumptions. Following in the footsteps of any great folks who find success or people the victim in general admires, cures this. Could Vin Diesel, Hugo Weaving, Jeb Corliss, Magret Thatcher do this? Yes? OK, what would they do. Focusing on the success assurance of heroes and heroines creates a plot line in one’s mind where success is available. Believing that you can do this comes down to finitely and detailedly grasping the steps involved AND FUCKING DO THEM. Allow yourself to enjoy the idea of success and then see the event as a triumph over failure and something involving only you. The world, the past, whoever you’re in love with or obsessed with or on a court ordered restraining order from, don’t exist. There are actions you will do and you can succeed. Get enthused and embedded with the idea of success then let it flow smoothly as you enjoy it.
