We are always imagining ourself up. If we didn’t think about who we are, then we’d not respond or do anything. As much as current psychological research has proven that people react then frame that situation to best fit who they see themselves as and that neuroscience has repeatedly shown that our actions are determined before the electrical stimulus of our decision to make free action occurs, we still make up that person who we see ourselves as. The habits we decide upon and actions we expect of our future, the more detailed and imagined the more precise a person we create. As much as that person can be aimlessly made, stronger a creation of environment and inherent nature than imagined and self-designed values, a person can be totally planned out too. That’s the whole idea behind making yourself, to not get caught up in the failures of older habits which psychologically and neurologically have been pretty steadily proven to outweigh the power of an immediate decision to change yourself. Persistence and recreation do fruit.
And we are always viewing ourself as somebody. The decision to make up a person is the same as the decision to view ourselves. Assuming we are intrinsically a specific character adheres to a lack of freedom and some absent father figure concept who designed bigger things, it’s for abused children who are continuing their process of paining themselves. As we have the inherent freedom to make a person up and see their behavior and values do we have the freedom to make ourselves into that person. We get to be as awesome as we can imagine a person to be. Behavior makes a person, values are created only when ideas are acted on. Making a new self is the same as recreating an old self, one is just more complacent. We are always making a person up, but is it a person we want to be? And could we make someone better? Believing you simply are, who and what you are appeals to a comfortable psyche and all games similar to that are willful ignorance and self-damaging bullshit for lazy functionality. Imagine up the coolest person you can ever think of!!! Do it now! Then start putting their steps together then get to doing that dance. We are always making somebody up, why not pick our own superhero?
