If one wants to be a king then one is not ready to be a king. That desire and need to be powerful or seen as powerful is a greed of ego, not knowledge or understanding. True Kings end up there by understanding all and being able to relate the world to itself and help things flow. Not by wanting to be feared, revered, or important. Those are all small frosting pieces or flawed logic of insecure and overemotional children. Truly being a King is to be open and eager to learn about the world by knowing that one knows nothing and using that void to pull one’s self towards pieces of the infinite array of knowledge which exists. One must do this with pride, not the kind gained by being better than others for that is fallacy. That is not real pride but a cover and will hold one down while convincing a small mind they’re on top. There is always more to know and understand yet the skills which one has that will bring them there need an utmost confidence of the grandest of Kings. This presence of learning aptitude needs to be there so that the knowledge and teachers can step forth and deliver with full trust and comfort. This is the balance that is not ironic but seems that way at bird’s eye distance and makes perfect sense in practice.
Letting go of all things is important on one level while never forgetting them is the same. No difference is involved. They both must occur simultaneously for growth. All this means is fully addressing each piece enough so that it leaves the present state of mind. To have an idea sit around forever means it is unaddressed forever. It must be finished. Once its place is fully envisioned, logically organized, and set on proper course then it ceases to need attention. All this is true of fear as well and the other sneaky problems which wish to not be looked at or which by their nature want more attention at a constant. Dive deep enough to understand and place them then move forward. There is more out there to enjoy.
