Many people hate reading. Its a huge phenomenon that has swept our nation in the past century or so. Prior, reading was a gift! The wealthy and lucky and privileged read! But now we live in an age where you go to school and the cool kids don’t do what the teachers say. Then they MAKE you do homework and FORCE you to read things you don’t care about. So reading has become synonymous with crappy things, lack of self worth and control, nothing you like and being a looser. Or maybe you just don’t like the way words look on paper. But that is the normal way to learn… but its not the only way to learn.

I personally learn best when I visualize the topic occurring in my head and am actively engaged with a person in conversation. This means they care about me, are excited about it, and its relevant to my interests and soon going to occur. My pitch in this whole thing is that you should change whatever information comes to you so that you can receive it best. If you barely speak spanish, you would’t want directions to putting together your new favorite thing, the orgasm ice cream hover couch, because that’s not how you think or are readily and actively engaged in. Well neither does your brain want information in a format that is foreign and uncomfortable to it. But you can read something and visualize it. You can be shown a picture and hear in your mind the words describing it. You can create the format in your head relative to how the brain you use most easily and enjoyably even takes information. Learning is fun, any other idea about learning is a misconception and self-deprecation.

When you read a book, visualize what the words describe and do so fucking vividly. Let your brain do what it loves, feed your desires to knowledge using the best and biggest spoon. If you do well socially listening to people then get into the book or article as though someone exciting was reading it to you. Break the silence in your mind with kicking tunes you can get into! Everyone knows intrinsically and immediately what speaks best to them. Translate the spanglish to what you speak in your head, its easy and immediately pleasing.
