Nobody’s perfect except Descartes idea of God. And that’s an idea worth following but not a person like you and me. We have demons, problems that grown out of poor decisions, chemical imbalances, painful episodes, traumas, shitty reactions or so much more like that herd. BUt we can change. Its simple and easy as strong as it wants you to think its not.

First, what is the problem? Understanding the demon makes you the most powerful against it. See what you do in full precision and explanation, stare at the emotion. Emotions hate that and are not you. They are chemical reactions in your brain and you are the cognizant thought either being aware or experiencing that. The next time it comes up, do not react like you normally do. Diagnose, treat it like a safari from hell that you’re going to die it. But take as many notes as possible even in pain. This makes the beast more real and less scary. It won’t stop the pain but it gives you another option when it comes along. And in those heightened moments, rarely can a person accept or believe in escape or change so a new option is a great idea. Like dancing in hellfire.

Next, who do you want to be? Diagram a persona who could deal with the issues you have better or properly. Create a person who you would like to be whom can deal with these issues. If you cannot imagine you, then use a hero or heroin. For me, I use Eddie Izzard, Jack Sparrow and Vash the Stampede. If you cannot imagine or think of a persona, real person or made up, then use Descartes God who is just the all perfect being. Not even religious, just a perfect and all powerful being. How would they deal with this issue?

Now once this persona is decided upon, find the steps that lead up to this issue. What opens the gates to this demon being released? Make mark of that and create a plan to avoid letting them the life of the party. Make strategy around their bullshit. For me, I get very down on myself and create a shitty place then get mad that people treat me badly or not as I would like to be treated. So, I recognize when one of these happens and I start smiling or looking for something to be happy about. I am alive, I can decide to be happy, I can still dunk, people still like me, I have an ipod and can dance. This is a small issue but its a good example. Make sure the steps to hell can be seen so you can dance instead of fall to your doom.

The last and most important step is to understand why you think you deserve this. Calculate what emotional and mental states of being led to accepting this state of being. Redesign that, reject that, dive into that. This is the real demon for it is a decision you either made or let be pulled over your eyes.
