You can never be too certain. Its sexy to be, that’s for certain. Its callous and insulting to the universe which encompasses and is infinitely bigger than you, that is for certain. But in being so totally certain one runs off the option of the imagination and reality having anything more to understand or change. I am so certain that I suck that nobody will even try and tell me the ten trillion ways I am wrong. Because people are beasts of emotion and they don’t want to be told to fuck off, verbally or with your tone, walk, aura, or however its getting across.
If you are certain that they won’t like what you have to say, well you’re right. Your body language, tone, body posture, reaction will all probably prove to you that you are right but you are more likely totally wrong. If you are sure that they are going to dislike you and it is a feeling not a calculated measurement of facts and conversational happenstance, then its less than a feeling and more of a defense mechanism.
There are varying degrees of confidence which range from timid and meek all the way to cocky and God-complex. Knowing one’s self is the overall goal here so that certainty is no longer an emotion but a logical expression of likelihood. Nonsense occurs rarely in that meadow.
Benefits of the self-fulfilling prophecy of certainty have a strong gravity once seen and desired. People listen and trust you, before you even speak once a reputation has developed or once your tone and body has joined the party. Content follows and can lead the way but we are beasts of sensory input before of content analysis. If we are to believe in ourselves then we create a rush of momentum where the world, its people and forces, want to propel us forward! People want to grow and win! So to stand with the face and gaze of a winner will garter you many folks and forces backing you up as they want to win too! That alone can climb many mountains! Being able to believe in victory and success in the face of failure is a talent that is both an incredible gift and an easy step off the wild side. All you have to do is jump then keep making one step after the next. The forces of a life lived with believe in success and thinking through victory is a brilliant accord of valiance and spirit.
If you are unable to see other points of view than your’s, the world becomes exponentially smaller. Whether it expands, detracts, encourages, attacks or otherwise modifies your certainty it is different and still totally valid even if it is completely illogical. Its worth taking a look for it is an outlook and therefore an expanse to conscious understanding.
